| THE EVOLUTION OF A HEALER |
Catherine Bruce began her healing journey as the lucky girl who had the devotion of adoring parents and had the benefit of the "good health
insurance" that their corporate jobs provided. A move to a new town in the second grade prompted a negative emotional response that
weakened her immune system. The doctors quickly came to her aid and removed the offending organs, her tonsils and adnoise.
Just after her 16th birthday her parents added on to the family home and gave her the opportunity to decorate her own bedroom. She spent
long summer hours refinishing furniture with caustic solvents that often ate through the protective rubber gloves she wore. She knew that the
chemicals were not supposed to come in contact with the skin but had no idea what that contact would do to her internal organs .She like
most people had no awareness of how the body works. So, in August, the new bedroom fully furnished, the family was planning to leave on
their best vacation ever--a trip to Disneyland in a motor home! Catherine became ill. Her fever spiked and there was abdominal pain. The
family doctor, who was making daily house calls said that it was a virus that was "going around" and that she would be better in a few days.
Finally, the 4th day of the illness she insisted that she must be taken to the hospital. A couple of hours after she arrived it was decided that
her appendix had burst. Her stomach became enormously swollen with infection, the pain was unbearable Her family doctor, who was now
consulting with a surgeon, decided to cut a hole in her lower abdomen and stab a drainage tube through it to drain off the toxins, She lie in a
drug induced delirium for 2 weeks until it was decided that an operation to remove the offending appendix was the next course of action.
Unfortunately, the surgeon failed to sew up the incision properly on the inside and she bled to death while the doctors were frantically ripping
the stitches out of her stomach in her hospital room. There was no time to take her to the operating room and her vital signs were so low that
no anesthetic could be administered safely. Screaming with pain, she heard them say "We're losing her!" as she released her physical
body with an frantic uttering "Help me Jesus!" Immediately she found herself rushing up a tunnel of bright white light. The pain had
been replaced with unbelievable joy and elation. She found herself being accompanied by an angel on each arm. The sound of angels
singing the most beautiful song imaginable permeated everything. And, there, at that instant, was Jesus, appearing in a cloud of soft,
baby blue light, Their communication occurred without words, telepathically. "What about your mother?" was all he said. When Catherine
turned her attention back to the side of the hospital bed where her mother was standing, holding the hand of her dying child, Bang! She was
back in her body writhing with pain. A long hospital stay, drugged unconscious followed.
Catherine was changed that day. She asked the parish priest about her experience and all he said was "That didn't really happen. You were
just drugged out." But she knew differently. She had heard the doctors saying that they could not give her pain medication at that time. The
experience was real. So she would investigate further,
Her brother was the first to notice her remarkable healing ability. A huge dog had mauled his kitten and he was going to shoot it to put the cat
out of her misery. Catherine took the bleeding kitten into her hands and held it for just a few minutes. "Just put the kitten in the barn for the
night" she told her brother. Reluctantly he complied. In the morning the kitten was good as new. "What did you do to that kitten?" he asked.
No reply was given but a silent question was launched. "What did I do to that kitten?!"
